Short version: Ricoshot keeps your progress on your own device. Nothing leaves it unless you choose to submit a run to the Hall of Fame — and even then, it's just the name you typed and that run's numbers. No accounts, no ads, no trackers.
What stays on your device
Your save file — upgrades, bullets, money, stats, achievements, settings — lives only in the game's local storage on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere. You can wipe it at any time from Options.
What you can choose to send us
If you finish a run and submit it to the online Hall of Fame, the game sends:
- the display name you typed in (don't put personal information in it — it's shown publicly on the leaderboard)
- that run's stats: time, deaths, shots fired, bullets bought and left, longest shot, difficulty, and the game version
This is entirely optional — the game plays fully offline without it — and it's signed to stop tampered scores from being accepted. Submitted runs appear publicly on the Hall of Fame board under the name you chose.
What our server logs
To stop spam and abuse of the leaderboard, the server stores a one-way salted hash of the IP address behind each submission — not the address itself, and not linked to any name or device. Basic, anonymous counters (page loads, runs started) are kept purely as aggregate numbers; they aren't tied to you individually.
What we don't do
No user accounts or sign-in. No advertising. No analytics or tracking SDKs. No access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location. We don't sell or share data with third parties, because there's essentially nothing to share.
Children
Ricoshot doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children. Please don't put real names or other personal details in the Hall of Fame name field.
